OBJECTIVES

Ladies and Gentlemen

The enormous progress in cold application in life sciences correlates with new solutions for producing, storing and handling of bio-products along the production chain up to the end-user. As well as new approaches for safety storage of biological material in laboratories and cryobanks. Therefore freezing and cryoprocessing are getting more and more important as an essential production step in life sciences.

Investigations are carried out to find novel approaches of the low temperature physics and cryogenics for the field of the life sciences. The understanding of the freezing behaviour and the cold-induced biophysical effects are a key issue in R&D. Another challenge is to find out how the effects of low temperatures can be used in industry for product improvements.

The 2nd IIR Workshop provides an interdisciplinary scientific platform for a dialog and exchange of experiences between R&D-institutes and industry.
The Center of Cryo Competence in Life Sciences as initiator and organizer of this workshop would like to invite you to come to Dresden, Germany and join our workshop.
