“Hold Your Breath!” – Long Night of Science at ILK Dresden

With its fifth participation in the Long Night of Science, ILK Dresden once again demonstrated just how vibrant and relevant research on the topic of air is. Under this year’s motto, “Hold Your Breath”—inspired by the FGK—the event focused on a central message: Air is our number one necessity. Every day, a person breathes in around 12,500 liters of air—about 90% of it indoors. Against this backdrop, ILK Dresden used vivid experiments and interactive hands-on stations to illustrate why clean and healthy indoor air is essential. At the same time, the event demonstrated where and how technical solutions can make a decisive contribution—especially in situations where simply opening windows reaches its limits. A heartfelt thank you goes to our employees, who contributed significantly to the event’s success with their great dedication, creative ideas, and technical expertise—from preparation through to execution.
