Task
ILK Dresden gGmbH has a thermosiphon for investigating the influence of suspensions as a working fluid. The thermosiphon consists of a modular assembly comprising an evaporator, an adiabatic section, and a condenser. To collect measurement data, the system is equipped with 5 pressure probes and 12 temperature probes. In addition, the secondary circuits are equipped with flow meters to determine the heat transferred.
Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte
The components of the student’s thesis are:
- Experimental investigation of structured evaporator surfaces in a thermosiphon. The structure is created by inserting metal mesh.
- Comparative presentation of the measurement results. Photographic and microscopic examinations of the internal evaporator surfaces. These examinations must be conducted before and after the experiments.
- Comparison of the measurement results with available reference measurements for an unstructured evaporator.
- Preparation of the written thesis, including a discussion of the results.
