Task

LabVIEW is a graphical development environment used primarily in measurement, control, and regulation technology. The Institute for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (ILK) in Dresden requires specialized software modules that expand the use of LabVIEW in scientific and industrial applications. The goal of this project is to provide students with practical knowledge in the development of LabVIEW applications by having them develop modules that can be integrated into the existing LabVIEW base library. These modules are intended to address specific requirements of the ILK Dresden and contribute to the further development of research there.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of thermodynamics/energy engineering and an interest in programming

Notes

The main division of refrigeration and heat pump technology at ILK Dresden focuses on cold vapor processes. To this end, individual components (compressors, heat exchangers, valves) are measured and further developed. In addition, processes and system configurations are also investigated. The results are intended to help cooperating industrial companies improve their products. These projects can be supported as part of student work. The topics presented below only provide a rough outline of the task. Depending on the type of student work (internship, coursework, thesis, etc.), the assignment will be individually tailored and adapted.
