Objective
When refrigerants and other flammable gases come into contact with polymers, permeation occurs. We can determine the rate and extent of this process for you in accordance with standards such as GMW 15779 and ISO 2782-1.
Description
We perform permeation measurements in accordance with GMW 15779 and ISO 2781-1 on polymers, elastomers, and other materials such as CFRP, printed circuit boards, or films.
In these tests, specimens of the respective material are exposed on one side to the test gas under elevated pressures and temperatures. At defined time intervals, the amount of test gas permeating through the material is determined, and the permeation rates are calculated from this data.
