Applications in industrial environments, wood and metal processing, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as workplace dust extraction and clean air recirculation

Through, the tests, it can be demonstrated that the investigated filter media, filter elements, as well as vacuum cleaners and dust extractors are suitable for use in industrial environments and for the collection of hazardous dusts.

Vacuum cleaners and dust extractors intended for professional applications and for the collection of hazardous dusts shall be tested prior to being placed on the market in accordance with IEC 60335-2-69, Annex AA, and assigned to a dust class. With increasing hazard potential of the dusts, the requirements for the performance of the appliances and their components increase accordingly, following the dust classes (L --> M --> H).

The ILK Dresden offers testing services in accordance with IEC 60335-2-69, Annex AA, for the following test items:

• Essential filter material ( dust classes L and M, test dust: quartz dust)
• Essential filter element ( dust class H, test aerosol: paraffin oil)
• assembled machine ( dust classes L, M and H, test dust: limestone dust)
