Areas of application

Filling, make-up and circulation water from open and closed cooling water circuits, as well as cold and hot water circuits

Objective

Inadequate water quality, incompatible material mixing in installations, or contamination of circulation systems can lead to malfunctions, reduced efficiency, and, in the worst case, corrosion and damage to the system. By monitoring the circulation water, changes in water quality can be detected early, thereby preventing damage.

Description

LK Dresden analyses and evaluates circulating water in accordance with current standards and guidelines for cold, cooling and hot water, as well as according to customer specifications.

Testing options for heat transfer fluids include not only chemical analyses but also the determination of glycol concentration and freezing point. Using ATR spectroscopy, ethylene and propylene glycol can also be identified in unknown fluids.

Standard analyses are often insufficient in the context of failure analyis. If damage to heat exchangers is suspected, the circulating water or heat transfer fluid can be tested for dissolved refrigerant using gas chromatography. We help you find the right analytical approach to your specific case.
