Test stands specifically developed according to customer requirements for heat pumps can be used for R&D tasks, reference measurements, or quality assurance. High-quality sensors and measurement systems are as standard as norm-compliant, automatic operation and evaluation of the measurement results, which leads to significant cost savings.

ILK test benches can be built for tests on heat pumps with all common refrigerants of safety classes A1, A2, A2L, and A3, such as R134a, R744 (CO2), R1234yf, and R290 (propane). For performance measurement and development of heat pumps, we build test benches according to the standards DIN EN 14511, DIN EN 14825, DIN EN 16147, or their requirements. We have experience in building test benches for brine/water as well as air/water heat pumps in the performance range from 1 kW to 250 kW. We can also provide test benches for chillers and domestic hot water heat pumps. The complete package includes the process engineering plant, the combined electrical/instrumentation and control system with ET/MT cabinet, and the complete test bench software, which, as an integral part of the test bench, guarantees automatic operation as well as the evaluation of the measured values according to valid measurement standards.
