Compression Refrigeration Technology Using Water as a Refrigerant
The primary focus is on refrigeration using water as a refrigerant. Building on the fundamental development of the first practical compression refrigeration systems using water as a refrigerant, work is underway to further develop turbo compressors, heat exchangers, and equipment for a new generation of the most environmentally friendly refrigeration technology.
Water treatment and seawater desalination plants
The range of services for this research focus is comprehensive, spanning scientific studies, design and construction, experimental testing, and the implementation of novel processes or products into practical applications.
Thermal Refrigeration/Absorption Refrigeration Technology
The scope of services includes the design and development of absorption refrigeration systems, particularly those using the working fluid pairs H₂O/LiBr and NH₃/H₂O. Other key areas of focus include the integration of absorption refrigeration systems into complex energy systems as well as solar refrigeration.
Complex Energy Systems
We develop methods for harnessing solar energy, utilizing waste heat, and promoting energy conservation and efficient energy use through the use of heat pumps, combined heat and power (CHP), and combined heat, power, and cooling (CHPC) systems. Together with our customers, we seek ways to contribute to CO2 reduction and improve the economic efficiency of plants and systems.
