The detection of contaminants, corrosion processes and deviations in concentration is crucial for safe and efficient absorber operation. Based on the analytical data, necessary corrective chemicals can be calculated and the solution chemistry can be adjusted to the specification range.

The analysis involves determining the pH and density of the absorption solution, as well as measuring the lithium bromide content. Furthermore, the alkalinity (LiOH concentration) and the concentration of the corrosion inhibitors, as well as dissolved metals (iron and copper), are determined as indicators of corrosion processes. Optionally, further dissolved metals and plant-specific parameters can be analysed.

Based on the analysis data, an assessment is carried out in accordance with the specification, including the calculation of the necessary corrective chemicals.

If the analyses are carried out regularly, it is possible to generate trend reports.
