Areas of application
Fiber processing plants, combustion plants, steelworks, foundries, soldering plants, chemical industry plants, plants of the 17. and 27. BImSchV, CHP plants, etc.
Objective
The services offered include investigations and measurements of emissions from various facilities. Often, the pollutants present and their concentrations in the exhaust gas are unknown and must be determined for the first time or for the current period in order to optimize facilities or reduce emissions.
Description
Emissions such as dust, dust constituents, biopersistent fibers, organic and inorganic gases, or even carcinogenic and highly toxic substances like formaldehyde and dioxins can be investigated using standard reference methods, as well as modified or even newly developed measurement methods. For this purpose, the emissions are determined on-site.
This typically involves sampling with absorption solutions/adsorbents or special filter papers and subsequent analysis in the chemical or granulometric laboratory of the ILK Dresden, and for specific pollutants, also in accredited external laboratories. The measurements are comprehensively evaluated and documented. The results serve for submission to authorities or for internal company use to implement measures at the facilities.
Qualified personnel and regularly calibrated equipment are available for these tasks.
The ILK Dresden is a measurement body notified according to §29b of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and an accredited testing laboratory for the determination of emissions.
Apart from the situation on site, the test field of the ILK Dresden is also available for example, to examine filter materials or simulate emissions from combustion plants.
