ASEREP and REFLIB

Basic research on refrigerant properties has been carried out at the Institut fuer Luft- und Kaeltetechnik gGmbH (ILK) for many years. Results of this work are for example the refrigerant R723 and efficient software for the calculation thermodynamic and transport properties. The software modules ‘ASEREP’1) and ‘REFLIB’1) were developed especially for Windows applications.

They provide functions of thermodynamic and transport properties for important refrigerants and can be integrated into user software. The difference between them is that ASEREP supports only one substance data library - the library developed by the ILK „ASEREP “-, REFLIB however various 2). ‘ASEREPfxl’ and ‘REFLIBfxl’ (= 'ASEREP/ REFLIB for EXCEL') are special software packages, which provide access to the above mentioned substance data modules via Microsoft Excel® by means of so-called ‘Add-Ins’.

ASEREPfxl and REFLIBfxl2) are intended for the daily work. Some examples, like work sheets for thermodynamic cycles and saturation tables, belonging to the scope of delivery, show how the software can be used effectively, and they are useful tools.

Cooling Agent

The ILK Dresden has many years of experience in the investigation of cooling brines for secondary circuits. For the calculation of secondary circuits with cooling brine, we offer you a Windows library for the calculation of thermophysical material properties. This library can be linked directly into programs or used via an add-in in Microsoft Excel. The library provides functions of thermodynamic and transport properties for cooling brines in the liquid phase. Material properties are available for different technical brines like Tyfocor or Antifrogen and water in the liquid phase.
