Association for the Promotion of Air and Refrigeration Technology:

Prof. Reichel is new chairman

5752

The Association for the Promotion of Air and Refrigeration Technology voted a new executive committee in its general meeting on July 2nd, 2021:

Professor Dr.-Ing. Mario Reichel is succeeding Prof. Dr.-Ing. Achim Trogisch, who did not run for chairman again after 16 years in the position. Prof. Eberhard Wobst and Dr.-Ing. Gerd Bannasch were confirmed as vice chairmen.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mario Reichel, geboren am 2. Juni 1960, hat eine Professur für Gebäudeklimatechnik / Integrale Planung.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mario Reichel, born on June 2nd, 1960, holds a professorship for Building Energy and Air Conditioning Technology.

His scientific occupation at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau coincides with the purpose of the Association, which aims, among other things, to spread the latest scientific achievements in the fields of the Institute of Air Handling and Refrigeration (ILK) as well as to foster young academics. Professor Reichel: „Being someone who is very much affected by innovation and having this passion for air and refrigeration technology, I consider it my main task to strengthen the Institute of Air Handling and Refrigeration (ILK) as a link between research and development and the industry as well as to force the transfer of technology to benefit our future and quality of life.“

From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Reichel held the professorship for Heat and Utility Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau. He then changed to the University of Applied Sciences Dresden, where he held the professorship for Technical Building Equipment and Regenerative Energy Systems. Since 2019, Mr. Reichel has been back at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau.

The managing director of the ILK gGmbH, Professor Franzke, thanked the executive board for its dedication and Professor Trogisch for his tireless commitment: „I am grateful for his intensive and very successful work as chairman. He has always been a competent and reliable conversational partner, who cared a lot about the well-being of the ILK.

Professor Trogisch had joined the ILK in 1973. Due to this year-long solidarity, the association has awarded him with the title of honorary chairman. At the same time, I am very happy that we could win over Prof. Reichel. His decision to become chairman and to lead our association grants us the opportunity to keep up the continuity as well as to occupy new topics.“

The Association for the Promotion of Air and Refrigeration Technology…

…is sole proprietor of the Institute of Air Handling and Refrigeration (ILK). The development association is therefore in charge of securing the ILK technology venture’s neutrality, i.e. the independence from companies and industries in the long term. It is also in charge of securing the common public interest of the ILK.

The following persons belong to the executive committee: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mario Reichel (chairman), Prof. Eberhard Wobst (vice chairman), Dr.-Ing. Hans-Gerd Bannasch (vice chairman). Cash auditor is Mrs. Ilse Wülfrath (lawyer).
