[Translate to EN:] Volume flow characteristic curve test rig handed over to satisfied customers

FlowMeas test rigs - made in Dresden

5032

Last Friday, a test rig for measuring air performance was handed over to a manufacturer of vehicle components. The purpose of the test rig is to measure the air performance characteristics, the operating behaviour and the energy efficiency of cooling fans within the scope of product development and performance verification. In addition to the components for measurement for control measurement of the power consumption of the device systems, it also offers the possibility of measuring the fan impeller performance. The test rig is operated by the software solution ILK-FlowMeas, which was especially developed for fan test rigs according to ISO 5801.

The test rig is characterized by the following technical data:

  • Volume flow measuring range 0.04 m³/s up to 4.5 m³/s
  • Test pressure ± 2500 Pa
  • Measuring accuracy volume flow according to ISO 5167 better than 1% related to the respective measuring point
  • Measuring accuracy test pressure 0.5 % related to the respective measuring point
  • The software compensates for the effects of weather-related changes in air density
  • Power supply of the test fans: 2 x 100 A (dual fans)
  • Speed control of the test sample: PWM / LIN
  • Impeller power measurement up to 5 N/m and 6000 1/min
  • Additional door in the test chamber for easier access to the suction side of the fan
  • Inner chamber dimensions 1800 mm x 2100 mm
